Natasha Ross, Marriage and Family Therapist (MMFT)

Hi, I'm Natasha. I work with couples and individuals looking to improve their relationships by having open and honest conversations in a safe, therapeutic environment with the guidance of a skilled professional. I work with individuals, couples, and families who need help with things like navigating life transitions and changing relationship needs; making decisions around school/career; defining and establishing boundaries; navigating parenting differences; and addressing mismatched intimacy. Our process will increase your awareness of your situation and how and what to change.

Our collaborative and exploratory work will help you see new things about yourself and how you relate to others. I use my training as a family therapist to help you reflect on your family history in order to better understand how earlier experiences might affect your choices regarding relationships, education/careers, and parenting style.

Life can feel tough sometimes. You don't have to figure this stuff out on your own. With my personal and professional experience, I can help you see your situation more clearly so you can make choices that support what's important to you and your vision of a meaningful life.

I've been in the helping profession for most of my career, starting out as a City Planner working on community development initiatives in Winnipeg's inner city. This valuable work taught me about the relationship between environment, psychology, and human behaviour, and led me to the Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy program at the University of Winnipeg. Marriage and Family Therapists look at various systems and structures to help people see their situations or selves more clearly within the context of societal expectations around family, social, sexual, work and home life. Together we will challenge some of these ideals in support of your personal growth.

I enjoy traveling and through my many travels have come to appreciate the importance of art, architecture, music, literature, physical movement, and being in nature can have on our personal feelings of well-being. I often encourage clients to find and develop their interests as part of our work together.
