I help couples develop the necessary skills needed to maintain a mutually respectful and satisfying relationship

learn more about yourself and how to make intentional choices in your life and relationships

learn new ways to communicate and resolve issues

I help women reach a place of insight and empowerment in making the right choices for themselves

I help couples develop a better understanding of the root cause of their issues and how to interrupt cycles of conflict and disconnect by building skills in reflective listening and through honest, caring and direct communication.

I work with couples who are married, unmarried, LGBTQIA+ or straight, and who are in polyamorous, monogamous and non-monogamous relationships. Everyone is welcome.

My role as your therapist is to facilitate collaborative and exploratory work that will help you see new things about yourself and how you relate to others. Our work will help you develop greater awareness and acceptance of the unique qualities you bring to your life and relationships. This process will help you develop a sense of what it is you want to change in your life, and why it's important to do so.

I love helping women better understand and challenge the structures and systems that have influenced how they've come to view themselves as women. In our work together, we will identify thoughts and behaviours that no longer serve you, and replace them with updated and more personally truthful values that support your personal growth.

Common issues I see women for include-unhealthy relationships with food and body image, sexuality, parenting overwhelm, and relationship issues impacted by depression/anxiety, ADHD, and menopause.

I help women help find their voice and advocate for what they want and need to improve their mental, physical and emotional well-being for themselves and in their relationships.

I work with families on a variety of issues including parent/child/teen conflict, family disagreements and cut-offs. Many of these issues are resolved by improving our understanding of what is going on for ourselves and others in our family system, and by developing new ways to communicate our needs and wants in more positive ways.

There's no doubt the pandemic impacted our children and teens (and ourselves!) in ways we don't yet fully understand. The pandemic was a huge disruptive event that impacted us globally and collectively. Many parents are still reeling from the impact that played on their work and personal relationships, and for our children, their social and learning development and sense of safety was hugely interrupted.

Adolescents can experience a range of challenges including  general and social anxiety, depression, increased desire to isolate from others, and difficulty with regularly attending school. My role is to help your child understand how certain ways of coping/avoiding have been developed for a good reason, and through a better understanding of this (and normalizing!) we can look at identifying different and healthier behaviours to help them function better at home and school and in their relationship to others and themselves.
